The Indian textiles ministry is planning to organise another mega virtual show—Textile India 2020—in Jammu and Kashmir in November to bring exporters related to handicrafts and handloom sector on the global platform. Organisations like India Brand Equity Foundation (IBEF) and Invest India will be involved in the branding and promotion of the event.

In a statement, the Directorate of Handicrafts & Handloom, Kashmir, urged craft exporters and entrepreneurs from Jammu and Kashmir to participate in the upcoming virtual fair that will offer excellent marketing opportunities for sale of their famed product line.

Feedback received from participation of craft businessmen from Kashmir in virtual fairs conducted by the Export Promotion Council for Handicrafts (EPCH) and the Carpet Export Promotion Council (CEPC) in July and August respectively was positive, with thousands of business queries generated and new buyers and destinations explored, media reports from the state cited the official statement as saying.
